During the prize-giving ceremony, Nkwalini Football Club was also honoured with an Excellence Award in recognition of its representation of the Mbabane West Constituency in the national football league. The award celebrated the club’s commitment, achievements and role in raising the profile of the constituency through sport. The initiative was made possible through the support of Indvuna Yenkhundla Phinda Maziya, the main sponsor of the event, who contributed E10 000 towards the prize money. The organising committee was chaired by Sibusiso Simelane, Founder and Director of Upscale Live, whose leadership guided the planning and execution of the event alongside an organising team.

The competition was judged by a panel comprising multiple award-winning artist Lyrikal Busta, Angel Maloyi and Dumisani Simelane, a former dancer who also serves as the Vice Chairperson of the organising committee. Their combined experience in the creative arts ensured the judging process. The event was hosted by award-winning poet Christian Mazibuko, whose energy and professionalism kept the audience engaged throughout the programme. Entertainment was provided by As 4 JerryP, Lyrikal Busta, Mco Jamrock and The Shepherd Brothers, all of whom delivered performances for the audience. The organising committee extends appreciation to MTN Eswatini and Basadi Group for their partnership and support, which played a role in the success of the inaugural event.

The turnout and the level of talent displayed throughout the competition have highlighted the importance of creating platforms that nurture and celebrate local artists. Following this first edition, the Mbabane West Talent Show will become an annual event, with plans underway to make next year’s edition bigger and more impactful. The organising committee also extends gratitude to all contestants, sponsors, partners, volunteers, the judging panel, performers and every member of the public who attended and contributed to making the inaugural Mbabane West Talent Show a success.
