U-TECH High School has reached a landmark academic milestone, securing a remarkable 98.7 per cent overall pass rate for its very first cohort of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) curriculum. This achievement marks a successful transition for the institution, blending its rich technical heritage with global academic standards.

The Class of 2025 has officially set the pace as the inaugural group to navigate the rigorous Cambridge-aligned framework at U-TECH.

With a dedicated group of 44 students, the school achieved a great total of 54 Distinctions(A*- A), 45 Merits (B) and 87(C) Credits. These results serve as a testament to the school’s philosophy: ‘Educate the Mind, Train the Hands’.

School leadership noted that these results validate the hard work put into implementing the new curriculum over the past year.

It is important to note that these figures currently reflect the international curriculum subjects; results for SiSwati and Religious Education (RE), which the learners sat for via the Examinations Council of Eswatini (ECESWA), are still outstanding and are expected to further bolster this already impressive performance

Speaking on this historic achievement, U-TECH Head teacher Dr Khumalo expressed immense pride in how the learners embraced the challenge of a new syllabus.

He extended his deepest gratitude to the teaching staff, whose specialised training and tireless dedication created a high-performance environment for every learner. Dr Khumalo also shared a heartfelt thank you to the parents, acknowledging that their unwavering support and trust in the school’s vision were vital components of this 98.7 per cent success rate.

“Being the first comes with unique pressures, yet our learners rose to the occasion with discipline and a spirit of inquiry,” he remarked.

This milestone serves as definitive proof of U-TECH’s institutional expertise.

By successfully navigating this transition, the school has demonstrated that its systems are perfectly calibrated to meet rigorous international standards with absolute precision.

Through the consistent maintenance of these high benchmarks of quality and diversity, U-TECH continues to solidify its reputation as a premier academic leader. As these trailblazing individuals prepare for their next steps whether transitioning into AS-Levels or pursuing advanced specialisations – they leave behind a proven blueprint of excellence for all future generations at U-TECH.
