There are about 500 scholarships for students who want to study various courses in Top Indian Universities, including Eswatini for the 2024/25 academic year.

Global Education Initiative representative, Dr Mk Nyathi, announced two sets of scholarships offered to emaSwati and other Southern African students to study in top Indian Universities. The first set of scholarships to study Full Time In top Higher Learning Institutions in India are approximately400 scholarships, covering food, accommodation, free flight ticket, and half of the tuition fee. Another set of scholarships is to study online for selected courses and there are approximately 100 scholarships available.

For full-time studies, these scholarships cover various courses from undergraduate to PhD courses,” whereas for Online the scholarships will cover selected courses from undergraduate to Masters.

Eligibility criteria and application process

Dr MK Nyathi iterated that for undergraduate courses, there was an age restriction; ranging between 17 and 40 years, whereas for Post-graduate programmes, there is no age restriction. Furthermore, he said that the course durations differ per programme, ranging between three to five years.

There are more than 2000+ courses embedded within different schools, with different partner Universities. For example, there are the following Colleges:  Agriculture, engineering, Arts and Science, Architecture, Commerce and Management, Pharmacy, Law, and Online Education. 

“Dr Nyathi further asserted that for Engineering and Sciences, students should have Physical Sciences, Biology, and Mathematics as a pass in theirfinal result.
