Extreme Sports Swimming Academy celebrated an impressive achievement after its 12 swimmers collected 28 medals at the Level 1 Swimming Gala held at Enjabulweni School in Manzini.

The young swimmers secured 14 gold, seven silver and seven bronze medals, demonstrating their growing skills and determination in the pool. The achievement was particularly encouraging for the academy, as most of the swimmers were still gaining experience in competitive swimming. One of the standout performers was Nothando Mzileni, who won five gold medals and one silver medal. Her performance also saw her qualify for Level 2, marking an important milestone in her swimming journey. Speaking about the team’s performance, Extreme Sports Academy Coach Yolanda Dlamini said she was surprised and impressed by the results, considering the swimmers limited competitive experience.

Dlamini explained that the children had been training with the academy for between one and two years, making their medal haul a significant achievement. She noted that swimming requires considerable time, patience and commitment, making the results particularly rewarding. Beyond competition, the academy places emphasis on discipline and personal development, particularly among girls.

Swimming sessions offer learners an opportunity to acquire potentially life-saving skills while developing confidence, perseverance and commitment. The academy believes that swimming also helps keep young people engaged in positive activities.

Based at the Mavuso Trade Centre, Extreme Sports Swimming Academy offers structured swimming programmes in heated pools, providing young people with an opportunity to develop their skills in the sport. For just E950 per month for adults and E850 for children, participants are guided by certified instructors in flexible sessions available during both weekdays and weekends.

Whether you are a parent looking to equip your child with water safety skills, a teen seeking fitness and discipline, or an adult finally ready to face the water with confidence, these lessons cater to every level and every age. Sessions can accommodate busy schedules. To register or enquire further, contact 7877 0985 or follow Extreme Sports Academy
